The hospital's original building, constructed in the 1990s, requires ongoing modernization, including intensive care units and operating rooms, to sustain the highest standards of care and meet the needs of Israel's growing population. The emergency department, Israel's busiest, was designed for 18,000 patients annually yet now serves more than 55,000.

The Glass Building, opened in 2023, presents opportunities for final buildout and naming recognition. Long-term investment in infrastructure, equipment, and expansion will ensure Schneider Children's continues to serve as Israel's national center for pediatric care for decades to come.
